I believe animal right is a very fragile, sensitive subject.
However, as we all know, people use animals to test the cosmetic products, or to approve new medicine by the law.
But do we have to use animals for our sake of science? the answer is no.
The choice comes from our moral consideration for animals , and because of satisfaction of human being's curiosity, the treatments on animals leaves only the medical experiments. Then why are the people who agrees with use animals as our sake of science but disregard the moral consideration for animals ?
first, the people who agree with treatments on animal, thinks that the animals are not
important as human being, and they naturally thinks that animals are for human beings’ needs, however even though animals are not smart enough to treated as human being they do feel the pain that they suppose not to have.
Well, right does not comes from intelligence it comes from the instinct of human mind,
being intelligence is not mean human can rule the animals as they wanted . For instance, infant cannot read, speak or express oneself idea to other people. Then in this case, who can tell and say that this little cute infant does not have any right to live freely? We all know the answer. They do have their own rights !
Not only the infants but also animals should be treated the same way as we treat human being.
Just because of the lower intelligence comparison to human being', no one can treat and judge any living creature to no right life.
Therefore, I strongly argue that treatments on animals are not moral consideration for animals and animals’ right.
I agree with you 1000000% and even more! animal testing is just inhumane and senseless. I dont see why there is the need of animal testing. We think that only because there is a law that permit us to test on animals its ok but the truth in my own point of view is simply made up by persons who are much bigger animals than the animals in the entire world! I say that they should be tested and then see if they still want that law to be into effect

답글삭제Lina, do you consider that human-animal equality for all animals? Or is there a point where ethics may not apply as strongly? Large cuddly animals are one thing, but what about small things like flies, cockroaches, and worms? Almost every high school science lab has a fruit fly breeding program, and cockroaches are a favorite to dissect. One company even developed a robot cockroach where you cut off parts of the roaches antennae, glue a tiny computer device to it, then control the roach's movements with an app on your phone.
답글삭제I have a friend who would say that all animals, even the tiny flies, are the equivalent to humans and that killing them is the equivalent to killing a human. I have never been able to figure out how he justifies driving and smashing bugs on his windshield if killing bugs is the same as people.
Great post Lina. I really do agree with you. Many arguments can be made about humane animal treatment. I always go back to the article that calls animals "sentient" beings. Unfortunately, as with everything else, a line must be drawn to recognize which. animal should get moral consideration. Animal testing is inhumane no matter how you look at it
